Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Caregivers Support Group
The caregiver group is laity led group that meets twice a month at church. It’s focus is to provide support to spouses and caregivers for those living with memory loss/challenges. If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to Jeff Campbell.
Men’s Anchor Group
The Men’s Anchor group meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7am in the church parlor. If you’re interested in learning more about what the Anchor Group is all about, please contact Greg Howes.
KnitWits
The Knitwits meet in the parlor once a month to knit, have some refreshments, and enjoy each other’s company! The group knits prayer shawls for people in nursing care, recovering in the hospital, or for those who just need an extra hug! At the holiday season, this group knits many beautiful items to be given to our neighbors in need, including the Boston Seamen’s Friends; Chaplains on the Way; and transitional housing in Lowell.
Advent + Lenten Groups
The Adult Christian Education Committee (ACE) offers small group discussions during the advent and the lenten seasons. Each season there is a new topic that the group focuses on throughout their meetings. Lay led and content-driven, these groups bring people of all ages and faith interests together, at church or in people’s homes, to discuss topics of the season and to enrich their understanding of biblical concepts.
Antiques Show
The Antiques Show is held on the first Friday and Saturday of November at TriCon church. With high-quality dealers on all three floors and a volunteer-led, in-house café offering lunch and sweet treats, this show is not to be missed. All funds raised by the church, from door entry fees, dealer rents, and the café, go into TriCon’s mission budget, designated to support our neighbors in need.
Women of Spirit
Women of Spirit is open to all women seeking connection with others in our TriCon family through mediation and faith practices. This group meets regularly on Zoom. Please contact Cheryl Shea for more information.
Community Closet
The Concord Carlisle Community Chest has opened a Community Closet on the second floor of the church. TriCon is offering space in kind to help with this mission. The Closet accepts donations for clothes and shoes for infants, toddlers, children, men and women. Designed to help provide for those housed at the hotel in Concord, and at other shelters in the area, people can ‘shop’ the Closet and get necessary clothing items.
The Closet accepts donations on the first Saturday of each month between 10-2 (not in July). They are always looking for volunteers to help sort the donations. You can sign up on the Concord Community Chest’s website.
