The KnitWits
TriCon’s lovingly named knitting group, the KnitWits, gathers monthly to socialize and knit or crochet items, and share their ongoing projects with fellow knitters.
The KnitWits knit or crochet “Prayer Shawls” which are delivered to church members and friends in need of a ‘hug,’ especially those hospitalized, grieving, or in care at home. The KnitWits work tirelessly around the Christmas holidays to make and deliver baby hats, toys, and the like for the City Mission Society Christmas Shop.,a place where inner city families can buy holiday gifts at affordable prices. They also knit caps and blankets for new babies born at Emerson Hospital.
The group is open to new knitters, of all skill levels. The group meets monthly in the church parlor. Yarn, other materials, and directions are available.
