The Sacraments

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome to participate. On most Sundays, plates of bread and cups of juice are passed down the pews. Occasionally, Communion is celebrated by intinction where participants are invited to come forward, receive bread and dip it in a communal cup.  Our communion bread is gluten-free.

Communion Invitation – “Let no one hold back out of fear and guilt. We eat together with people we love and here love is offered to you. Here is forgiveness for everything. Each person here is welcome at this meal of God, for it is freely given for our spiritual nourishment. Therefore, if your intentions are to lead a new life in Christ…you are welcome. If your heart is willing to venture ordinary love with average people…you are welcome. If you are part of this, or any other household of faith, your faith in Jesus Christ makes you welcome here”.

We celebrate the sacrament of Baptism on three or four occasions during the year. Baptisms take place during the Sunday worship service. The congregation participates by pledging their support for the parents and the child if a young child is being baptized or for the newly baptized if it is a youth or adult being baptized. Baptism can take place at any age. You do not have to be a member of our church to be baptized or to have a child baptized.
