Adult Cultural Trip to South Africa

In January, 2024, you have the opportunity to visit South Africa with TriCon friends, in the care of Mike Gathercole of Axium Education, based in Zithulele, South Africa.

Here are some of the key points of the trip which will be a combined cultural immersion and service trip. 

January 17th leave Boston

January 18th arrive in CapeTown, South Africa

January 18-23 – Introduction to CapeTown and SA culture; visit Table Mountain, wineries, Cape of Good Hope. Volunteering and site visit with a Christian non-profit, Living Hope

January 24-28th – fly to Zithulele, Eastern Cape which involves a flight and a 4 hour land transfer

Site Visit and volunteer with Axium Education. Interactive meals with local people. Introduction to the amaXhosa people and culture, simple but comfortable accommodations.Spend time unwinding near beautiful beaches and attending a service at a local church.

Departure for US on Monday, January 29th. Arrive home on January 30th.

If anyone would like to stay on and book a safari, that would be independent of this trip.

Cost: $2600 plus international airfare/person. 

Deposit due JUNE 14th with final payment due September 30th.
