Children’s Ministry Director, Carrie O’Brien grew up in New York “in Washington Irving territory” and moved to the Boston area in her 20’s. Carrie’s career path has taken her from working with developmentally disabled to marketing and promoting publications to finally landing her in what she calls the most rewarding, challenging, and satisfying profession, other than motherhood. Carrie brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to her position as CE Director at TriCon since she joined the staff in 2002. She thrives on creating programming and curriculum and hopes that through her work she can help children develop into loving, giving and accepting Christians. Carrie is grateful for the opportunity to raise her three children in the TriCon community. In her free time she loves to disappear into a good book, dabble in photography, tend to her new gardens and do anything that includes being with her husband, children and two dogs.

Amy Bruning, Administrative/Bookkeeping Assistant/Membership Coordinator, lives in Carlisle, with her husband Nick. They are enjoying acclimating to the early days of their ‘empty nest.’ Amy and Nick have been active at TriCon as worship participants, as well as employees (Nick was the senior high Youth Leader for 14 years). Amy has greatly enjoyed growing her job in the fun and often frenetic church office since she started in 2005, and she looks forward to continuing to learn creative ways to provide support to the staff and members of TriCon. As a family, Nick and Amy are excited to be witnessing their three children become young adults, and often visit them at their new homes and campuses. The nest doesn’t feel too empty for comfort, as they live with the silly and sweet companionship of their English bulldog, black lab, kitten, many chickens and four sheep. Outside of work and animal-husbandry, Amy is an avid home cook, walker, reader, and photographer.
