Becoming a member is the formal commitment of embracing your spirituality and being a “member” of the body of Christ.

“For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.” (Romans 12:4-5)

TriCon is a vibrant, welcoming community because of its people. Young families with children who start at the church school, and move into the Voyager and Seeker programs in middle school and into the Youth Group in high school, add energy and vitality to our church committees and activities held at the church. Retirees, couples, and singles from other churches or other Christian denominations who have relocated to the Concord area or find themselves seeking what TriCon has to offer, add depth and new ideas to our church community. We welcome you all!

THE PATH to becoming a member at TriCon is an easy one. If you have already been baptized in another church, you do not need to go through that process again to become a member and you do not need to be confirmed to become a member. Please click on the FAQs re: Membership to learn all about what it means to join TriCon.

IF INTERESTED IN JOINING, we ask that you attend a coffee, held several times a year, to meet members of the Membership Committee and have your initial questions answered. There is absolutely no commitment in attending a coffee – we would like to get to know you better and be available to answer any questions you might have. Once you feel ready, the next step is to meet with members of the Membership Committee and a member of the Clergy to learn more formally about the United Church of Christ, our church and the responsibilities of being a church member. We usually host a brunch after church for this meeting but can also arrange to meet with you during the week if that is more convenient for you and your family. This is a required meeting you must attend before you can become a member of the church. Finally, you would participate in a very special celebration held during a Sunday worship service where you become a member of the church in front of the congregation.

We will be hosting several Coffees, Brunches and three Joining opportunities in the Fall of 2017 and in the winter and spring of 2018, so please contact Dale Ryder at 978-549-0238 or at if you are interested in any of these events

It is a time of change and transition for TriCon and a chance for all of us, both longstanding members and new members, to play a vital role in the future of our church. We will be asked to vote on a new Senior Minister in the coming months and the need for strong, involved leadership on our committees has never been more important. In order to vote or serve on a church committee, you must be a member of the church. Please consider adding your talents, ideas and resources to the voices of our church community to ensure the continued vitality of our church.
